Mills Community Tennis Festival and Barbeque
The festival is free of charge and open to all. The cost for the barbeque meal is $10 for adults, $8 for students age 12 and older, and $5 for children under the age of 12. Email Loke Davis at lodavis@mills.edu if you would like to attend.

Saturday Morning Book Group
Join faculty and students for a lively discussion of the acclaimed text Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide, which all incoming students read in preparation for classroom activities at Mills. Even if you don't have a chance to read the text, we invite you to participate. The discussion will be facilitated by Martha Johnson, Assistant Professor of Government. Mills College Art Museum Exhibition
This exhibition showcases the work of internationally acclaimed American artist Karen Kilimnik and her engagement with historical theater, particularly the classical and romantic story ballets of the 17th and early 19th centuries. Works featured date from 1988 to present, encompassing the diverse styles and mediums in which Kilimnik has worked, from figurative drawing and painting to mixed media mise-en-scène installations.

Take a tour of the recently renovated Music Building and Littlefield Concert Hall. Don’t miss the vibrant frescoes and murals by artist Ray Boynton (who also painted one of the murals in San Francisco’s Coit Tower). The tour will be led by Campus Architect Karen Fiene.

Class Luncheon and AAMC Awards Ceremony
Gather with your classmates for lunch and a celebration of strong women, proud women, Mills women! The sixth annual AAMC Awards Ceremony will honor three alumnae/i for achievements in their professional and volunteer work. Romeo Garcia, MA ’87, will be presented with the Distinguished Achievement Award for his career dedication to educating and advocating for underrepresented students of color and women. Beverly Curwen '71 will receive the Outstanding Volunteer Award for her longtime service on the Board of Governors and for her commitment to forming connections between students and alumnae. Sharon Page-Medrich ’05 will receive the Recent Graduate Award for her leadership in the Mills LGBTIQ community and for creating the LGBTIQ alumnae affinity group.

AAMC Travel Program: Volga River Cruise, Russia
In summer 2013, President Alecia A. DeCoudreaux will join alumnae aboard a deluxe river ship bound for UNESCO World Heritage sites such as Red Square, St. Basil's Cathedral, and the State Hermitage Museum.
